Double Fine Productions has unveiled an exciting addition to its acclaimed documentary series, "PsychOdyssey," chronicling the intricate and captivating journey of developing "Psychonauts 2.” This latest episode, released unexpectedly on their official YouTube channel, spans over 90 minutes and serves as an epilogue to the series, providing fans with deeper insights into the project.
In conjunction with this new release, Double Fine has partnered with Limited Run Games to produce a special physical Blu-ray collection of "Double Fine PsychOdyssey." This limited edition will encompass all episodes, including the recent epilogue, alongside an 80-page booklet that reflects on the series from the viewpoint of its creators at 2 Player Productions. Additionally, it will feature two bonus discs filled with a variety of extended interviews, updates for backers, cut scenes, promotional materials, and exclusive content not previously shared.
Fans can look forward to deleted scenes, fresh interviews with the talented team behind "Psychonauts 2," as well as previously unseen internal footage from various development phases.
However, there is a twist—only 2,000 copies of this Blu-ray set will be produced. While the release date remains unannounced, pre-orders are currently open until August 25, offering a chance to secure this unique piece of gaming history.
